History of Deutz-Fahr Tractors

7 DEUTZ FAHR Tractor Service Manuals PDF, Fault Codes DTC  presented higher on the page.

The company was founded by the designer, inventor of the internal combustion engine Nikolaus Otto at the age of 32 in 1864 in Deutz, then still a suburb of Cologne - it was the Deutz Gas Engine Factory.

1924 - the 1st Deutz tractor of the MTN 222 model was produced with a capacity of 14 hp, 6.3 km / h, 600 rpm, an engine capacity of 2.8 liters, the gearbox gave 2 speeds forward and 1 backward. Until 1938, only 540 tractors were produced.

1930 - FENDT installs a Deutz engine on its first tractor.

1995 - Deutz hands over the production of Deutz-Fahr Agrartechnik GmbH tractors, combines and Deutz-Fahr Erntesysteme GmbH harvesters to the Italian SAME Group (now SAME Deutz-Fahr Group S.p.A. (SAMELamborghiniDeutz-Fahr & Gregoire) and Deutz-Fahr Agrarsysteme GmbH in Lauingen, Germany).

Now Deutz has only engines - having made a revolution in 130 years, Deutz returned to his most important specialization.

Moreover, in 2003 SAME Group became one of the main shareholders of Deutz AG, as of August 2008 it held 45.1% of Deutz's shares.
